Datalogging

I use an Aim MXL Pitsa system on the Delta

My MXL has a GPS module and a gyroscope/accelerometer, as well as two CANBUS expansion modules.  The logger can gather 8 analog channels of data + speed and RPM< as well as two CAN inputs.  In my setup, for 2019 I have

4X EGT sensors (each headpipe)

4X April Systems detonation sensors (each cyl head)

EGT on center section of right rear pipe

GPS (speed. position. acceleration)

Gyroscope/3-axis accelerometer

RPM

Speed from rear wheel (6 triggers/ rev)

Throttle position sensor

front bank coolant temp

rear bank coolant temp

From that raw data, you can derive a tremendous amount of other info.  I'll cover that a LOT in upcoming pages.

I also have an Aim Solo2 GPS datalogger that I use on my other bikes, for laptimes as well as performance testing and collecting drag info and generating HP /torque curves,   along with a Qstarz 10 Hz GPS lap timer.

The Qstartz is a glitchy little thing but it's tiny, and as a result,  I can convince other people to carry it.

I'm relatively new to datalogging but man, is there a lot to learn and tinker with.

You can have a boatload of fun with these systems, and I'll add a lot more material here as we go along.
